Bio - "My aunt started me collecting in the early 1950s.  I was fascinated shortly after by the geysers in Yellowstone and thus with Icelandic stamps.  Still I was a general collector, taking what I could get.  After serving in the Peace Corps in Columbia, South America, I added Columbia to my special collections.  Finally, deciding in the 80's I couldn't collect the whole world, I decided on one country per continent and a few topical.  Pulling from childhood interests, I started accumulating Mozambique Company, Tanna Tuva, New Zealand, New World archeology and astronomy.  I developed an interest in covers and lots of mini-collections have developed from that.  I first exhibited in 1980 and most recently at PIPEX in May.  I am a retired high school teacher - English, Spanish, math and other things on occasions.  I have two kids and five grandkids.  I currently live in Oregon."
